Magazine 2.0

Now, after a short hiatus, we're publishing Behind the Spin magazine. Please take a look, leave a comment, help spread the word - and consider writing for us. There's a forward features list and the online format means we can update more frequently than this. I'm also keen to appoint a news editor.

Print isn't dead. (We aim to produce an annual print publication derived from the best of the online magazine.) But the WordPress magazine format we've chosen ('blogazine') has the advantage of speed, reduced costs, global reach, automatic archiving and Google indexing for authors' names and keywords. The format also allows for an ongoing discussion that was never possible in an infrequent magazine.

I'd welcome your ideas (a good suggestion I've received is to establish a network of international contributors). We can get bigger and better but that we've made this start is entirely thanks to a team of volunteers: writers, photographers, editors and, above all, our website developer Simon Wakeman.

Just noticed in Bloglines it says every entry is 'posted by Simon Wakeman'. You might want to change Simon's name to 'admin' or 'Behind the Spin' in the admin area.

Unless Simon did write and publish all those excellent articles. :-)

Not sure, but it might be interesting to have Author Pages for the contributors. With a small profile and Bio.

Also, I will keep a small rss widget for Behind the Spin on my blog. At least for a few days, to see if it gets a good reader base from Portugal.

i love the idea of sharing, build up the collaboration, give us a place for publish our thought and together create knowledge base society which help the young PR practitioners...
